Berkeley Fission 20/20

It was a quiet week for races, but sole ORC Steve Sincock headed to Berkeley in Gloucestershire on
Saturday to take part in the Berkeley Fission 20/20. This well organised event, based at the
decommissioned Berkeley Nuclear Power Station, provides the opportunity to run a fast flat 20 mile
or half marathon course, useful for those planning on competing in a spring marathon.

Steve took part in the 20 mile option, which is a two lap flat course in lovely countryside close to the
river Severn, it heads off towards Ham, then follows two loops of a circuit around Bevington Deer
Park on flat quiet country lanes. After the two loops you head back via Ham the way you came to the
finish.

Steve finished the 20 mile course in 2:18:46, coming in 1 st MV60 with a new MV60 Club Record – well
done Steve!
