This race will take you on a tour of the northern moor. The 10+ miles and 2,000ft+ is a challenger to any runners. This route takes you from Okehampton to Oke Tor and on to Yes Tor before dropping back to Okehampton The route is beautiful and allows runners to choose their own routes (hint, the straightest line might note be the fastest).

There are a number of compulsory checkpoints at which all runners MUST give their number to the stewards. Due to difficulty of marking the course accurately, self-navigation is required by all runners.

The race is licensed by the Fell Runners Association. Mandatory kit is required for this race as it is longer and takes you to more remote parts of the moor. Runners will be required to have a map of the route and a compass and whistle. If rain and wind is expected, runners must carry a jacket with taped seams, this will be communicated to the runners via e-mail more than 24 hours before the race begins if this is required. Runners are recommended to carry water and food as this is a longer race.

Race Headquarters is in Pavillion in the Park, Simmons Park, Okehampton, EX20 1EP. Car parking (pay and display) at Simmons Park Car Park, EX20 1EP – follow the brown tourist signs at the main traffic lights in Okehampton. There will be marshals at the car park to direct you to Race HQ.

Race starts at 10am.
